Overview - Immerse yourself in un spoilt beauty and pristine natural surroundings with a 2 day 1 night trekking experience in Doi Inthanon National Park. Over two days we will head off the beaten path and into the mountains in Doi Inthanon's pristine park. On this Inthanon trek You will experience the diverse flora and fauna as well as the traditional ways of life of some of the ethnic groups living here. You will overnight in a real Karen village's home situated in the mountains. Be prepared for some real but rewarding trekking to traditional and rarely visited hill tribe villages, you will encounter Hmong and Karen hill tribes in their natural surroundings on this Inthanon trek. A seven tier waterfall, swimming and traditional hill tribe food options will also feature. Be prepared for basic accommodation and facilities in the hill tribe villages as you will also be living like the locals. After the trekking on day two let us take you by to Doi inthanon's peak, the highest mountain in Thailand and (weather allowing) enjoy the stunning view which this high spot has to offer.

Day 1- Early start! Drive to a local market to stock up and then on to our Inthanon drop off, Mae Ya waterfall, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Thailand. Take and early lunch and start our 3 hour up hill hike to a local karen village through lush farmland and Hmong villages. Overnight in the Karen village in a traditional Karen Village's home and pay a visit to the local village school to see how the local Karen kiddies are educated. After preparing a meal with your guide kick back by the fire or retire to your accommodation.

Day 2 - Trek up to a local gem, a seven tier waterfall that is virtually unknown to most visitors to Inthanon's national park! Continue trekking to the Royal Agricultural Project where you can see many types of local produce growing. We will drive to the peak of Thailand, the misty Doi inthanon via the Royal Pagodas. After enjoying the stunning views from the highest point in Thailand we will return to Chiang Mai at the end of the day.

What to wear
Wear light clothes as trekking in this part of the world can be hot and sweaty work. Shorts, T shirt and a sun hat are ideal. Long trousers are OK as they will protect your lower legs more but will be hotter to wear. Although hiking boots aren’t a necessity at least a sturdy pair of running shoes should be worn. Some people trek with sandals but they do leave your feet open to be scratched by vegetation also flip flops (thongs) aren’t appropriate as they don't provide enough support. In the rainy season from April to October bring a rain coat. Bring a change of clothes for after the rafting. Please be sensitive about your dress in the hill tribe village short and t shirts are OK but nothing to revealing please.

What to bring
A small rucksack/day sack, shorts and T shirt for trekking (long trousers if you prefer), A change of clothes (shorts & t shirt) especially useful in the wet season to change into at the end of the day, warm jumper/fleece for cool season, Walking shoes, socks, swimming suit, small towel/sarong, insect spray, sun cream, raincoat (rainy season), some toilet paper, one bottle of water. Some money for drinks and hill tribe crafts.
